Congratulations to the Class of 2016 on their IB Diploma results
At Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC), we pride ourselves in guiding students to explore world cultures, embrace differences and diversity, pursue creativity, and learn to overcome personal challenges in a welcoming, multicultural environment with students and staff from over 80 nations.
113 students graduated from LPCUWC this May. The students were immersed in a unique full-time two-year educational experience, incorporating the IB Diploma programme, as well as whole person development via practical and experiential learning.
With the official publication of the provisional results for the IB Diploma, we are pleased to announce that 28% of our 2016 graduates received 40 or more points (as compared with the world average of 7% in May 2015), with 5 students scoring 43 points and 9 students scoring 42 points, out of a maximum of 45.
We commend students for their outstanding results. We also believe academic excellence is just one important part of education. The graduates of Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong this year have shone brightly in terms of the work they have undertaken in community and campus service, sporting and creative activities, and cultural exchange projects, much of which was organised and led by students themselves.
LPCUWC would like to congratulate all graduates of the Class of 2016 on their many achievements and wish them all the best for their exciting journeys beyond the College. We hope to continue to nurture young students in creating a more open-minded, peaceful and sustainable future for all.
