The aims
of the Computer Service are to maintain all computing facilities on campus
and give technical support to other students and teachers. You will be
placed in charge of computers and printers in the block computer room
and the library. You will be responsible for maintaining them in working
condition, including changing cartridges, mice, keyboard, keeping in contact
with LPCUWC System Administrator to inform her about difficult cases and
to help her with printer settings, some software installations, taking
care of the hardware components, checking for viruses and monitoring the
proper usage of these facilities. One of your main responsibilities as
a member of CST is to consult your college mates and the teachers about
the proper use of the college computer system and to help them with their
computer problems. The users, in turn, are supposed to give feedback to
the IT Coordinator about this personal service by e-mail short notices.
Basically, the CST leaders meet the IT Coordinator weekly (Monday, 5-6pm,
Library) to discuss and evaluate the operation of the team. Once in a
while, there will be a meeting for the whole team.
