Playback is a theatre form that celebrates and reaffirms the life experience of those watching in the audience. Audience members are encouraged to tell the Playback team and other audience member’s stories and feelings from their lives. Before their eyes, Playback performs their story back to them using varied theatre techniques. Performances are interactive with the audience and highly improvised! This service meets twice per week; a short session to plan and a longer session to deliver Playback or for training. Its audiences range from schools, to mentally/physically challenged daycare centres, to old peoples retirement homes! A great way to give something back to the community!
