The College has applied for a Capacity Enhancement Grant for year 2010-2011.
We anticipate that the funds will be used to contribute to the employment of an IT technician, something the school has never had. It is hoped that this person will help with the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers and computers, provide support and technical solutions for computers, networks and e-mailing, implement a help desk for user support, manage the school’s website, and assist teachers and students with IT problems. The purpose of our proposal is to enhance teachers’ work by making it more efficient, productive and enjoyable, thus enhancing learning outcomes for students.
The success of this proposal will be judged on the stability of the school’s IT services and the extent to which IT becomes more fully integrated into the school’s culture.
The long-term objective will be the improvement of IT provision in the College.
This Capacity Enhancement Grant proposal has been approved by the Management Committee of the College.
