"Vision 2052: Together Shaping the Next 30 Years of LPC."

We are delighted to share LPC's new fundraising campaign, titled "Vision 2052: Together Shaping the Next 30 Years of LPC." This transformative initiative aims to shape the future of our institution and empower generations of students to come. The investments will serve as a cornerstone in enhancing our capacity to deliver an even more robust academic program—one that not only fosters academic excellence but also equips our students with the tools and knowledge to address the urgent challenges faced by our local and global communities. Already a global hub, educating 3,778 students from Hong Kong and 147 different nationalities, it is through these strategic investments that we will continue to nurture a learning environment that empowers our students to become compassionate, innovative, and socially responsible leaders of tomorrow.

As we to set a new course into the “Vision 2052” future, we are grateful for our past accomplishments, and want to continue the impactful educational legacy that we at LPCUWC inspire. We be hosting various events to share the opportunities for you to partner with us for a life-changing educational story.

LPCUWC: Hong Kong's School for the World

We are excited to present the College’s ambitious initiative, "Vision 2052: Together Shaping the Next 30 Years of LPC." This fundraising endeavour, outlined in the following pages, marks a pivotal moment in our institution's history as we seek to redefine educational excellence and amplify our global impact.

As the seventh member of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement, we are unwavering in our commitment to delivering transformative education to students from diverse backgrounds worldwide. Since our founding in 1992, our community has flourished as Hong Kong’s most culturally diverse high school, educating 3,778 students from 147 nationalities. Consistently, there are 95 nationalities from all corners of the Earth in campus, and more than 200 languages spoken and shared among students in the vibrant residential community. This authentic rich diversity enhances our learning environment and fosters international understanding and intercultural collaboration that defines graduates’ life-long global competencies to engage a fractious world in the good will for peace and sustainability.

LPCUWC is also dedicated to cultivating strategic partnerships with local and international universities and organisations. These collaborations provide our students with unique opportunities for research and internships, significantly enhancing their academic and professional development. Additionally, partnerships with NGOs such as WWF allow students to engage in impactful projects focused on environmental sustainability, including coral monitoring and wildlife conservation initiatives. These experiences not only enrich our students' education but also empower them to become proactive stewards of the planet.

LPCUWC is resolutely committed to cultivating and retaining a diverse talent pool for Hong Kong and the broader region. This strategic focus addresses the urgent need for Hong Kong to attract and compete for global talent. By fostering a culture of excellence, we are vital contributors to shaping a vibrant and prosperous future for Hong Kong.

In our pursuit of educational excellence, we are committed to integrating innovative teaching methods and experiential learning opportunities that enhance our students’ educational journeys. Our expanding Marine Science initiatives, for example, enable students to explore aquatic ecosystems through hands-on projects that support local conservation efforts. This engagement deepens their understanding of environmental science and reinforces our belief that education must extend beyond the classroom and into the community. By fostering these connections, we promote personal growth and instill a profound sense of social responsibility, empowering our students to actively contribute to a sustainable future.

The UWC movement in Hong Kong thrives due to the generous contributions and steadfast support of our esteemed donors and advocates. These vital investments are instrumental in shaping the educational landscape and driving societal transformation. Notably, funding from our supporters has enabled us to enhance our scholarship programs, ensuring that a UWC education remains accessible to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our board members, educators, staff, students, donors, supporters, and friends of the College for your unwavering dedication and encouragement.

Together, we advance toward a future defined by peace, sustainability, and a commitment to lifelong learning. With your support, we can continue to empower the next generation of leaders poised to shape a better world—one that benefits both Hong Kong and the global community.

Welcome to this transformative journey ahead!

Daphne Lee,

Class of 2024 (Hong Kong)

"Attending an international school is a privilege that I never dreamed of, coming from an ordinary family that could never afford it. UWC completely changed my education and the community I am surrounded by. UWC creates an extremely diverse community with a global perspective on education. UWC's values and mission are beyond words. It's a life-changing experience. I couldn’t have had this privilege to live under a UWC community without scholarships. This inspired me to continue my future education and pursue a career in education, and I hope to one day support people in accessing better educational environments with UWC's values."

Nargis Mayel,

Class of 2024 (Afghanistan)

"I am deeply grateful to the sponsors of my scholarship. This chance means everything to me, a girl from Afghanistan where education is limited for girls. Your generosity is extraordinary and inspiring. It gives hope to countless voiceless individuals and encourages us to resist injustice. I will contribute to the LPC and UWC communities, using every resource available to make a difference. Through a UWC project, I am already helping Afghan girls access education. I owe my contributions to this opportunity and will forever be thankful to the kind-hearted individuals who made it possible."
