EXPERIENCE
LPCUWC enrolls about 120 new students each year in our two-year program. About 50% of these students are from Hong Kong while the remaining students come from 90+ countries around the world, forming a unique diverse student body that cannot be found in any other schools in Hong Kong
Our graduates reflect on these two years to be life-changing, benefiting from our thought-provoking academic programme, the character development via our EOTC / Quan Cai (全才) programme, and the cultural melting pot that the residential life offers.
If you are a student who is fundamentally curious - curious about not only about academic knowledge, but also current affairs, different cultures, and most importantly, about other people and their different points of view, find out more about us in other sections to see if we are a right fit for you!
What Students Get
Prospective Students & Parents often meet our current students / graduates and are left amazed by their sense of mindset, awareness and achievements.
Many wonder exactly what our programme offers that is uniquely different from other schools that was able to bring such transformation to students.
By implementing the UWC mission closely throughout our academics, EOTC and residential programmes, we ensure that students learn, practise then live out three important traits that Future Change Makers must have.
Peace & Conflict Resolution
Open mindset that listens to, recognizes, respects and appreciates differences to resolve conflicts
At UWC, we inspire young people to put their talent & energy into social change, no matter which future path they choose. We select promising, passionate students all over the world, providing them knowledge, skills & confidence to make a difference to this world.
“Living together in peace is all about accepting differences and listening to, recognizing, respecting and appreciating others, as well as living in a peaceful and united way.”
- United Nations
Key to resolving conflicts, whether between two persons or two nations, starts with having the mindset and willingness to understand the other's perspective. We want our students to not be afraid to take action to foster peace, thus expose them to new cultures and languages via multiple means.

Sustainability & Social Responsibility
Awareness of our individual action's impact to others, communities and the environment
The world we live in requires a conscious effort to be protect and maintained. As such, we demand students to be socially responsible in everything they do, as real Change Makers must be cautious on how our actions could impact the world both short and long term.
The awareness first starts with our relationship with the environment. Students are not only encouraged to acquire knowledge around the 3 “R”s: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle, but are required to live these values out as they create carbon footprint while residing on the campus.
The awareness also includes our relationship with the other people in the society, as the world becomes more divided nowadays. Thus students are required to participate in EOTC that engages with the local community.
Innovation & Design Thinking
Actionable skills with an instinct to challenge the status quo to make impactful changes
Change Makers don't just identify issue and changes needed, but will actually use their skills to bridge differences and bring solutions to problems identified.
So we make sure our students are not disconnected from the real world, with plenty of exchanges with real world organizations & corporations and manageable challenges via our EOTC and Change of Pace Days to apply their knowledge into real world scenarios and get their hands dirty to learn from mistakes.
