About LPCUWC

Located in Ma On Shan just minutes away from Wu Kai Sha Station, Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) is home to more than 250 students from over 80 nationalities. As a tight-knit community surrounded by lush greenery, LPCUWC provides an excellent place for students to live, learn and strive, supplemented with a well-rounded experience of the city.

At the core of LPCUWC's IBDP education is our Quan Cai (全才) programme, which pushes our student to fully immerse themselves into Education outside of classrooms across Cultural, Action and Service related activities, fully leveraging our campus facilities.

Examples of Quan Cai programme includes Dragon & Lion Dance, Project Week service trips, China Week service trips to mainland China, Coral Monitoring in support of WWF, and many more. Students are required to take lead in setting each activities' purpose & goals, organizing events or tasks involving the local community, and interacting with people of varying socio-economic means, hence broadening their understanding of what it means to be a global citizen and change makers.

Brief history of LPCUWC

Anthony Tong
Chairman of the Board, LPCUWC

“Hong Kong has had a long history working with the UWC Movement, sending our first batch of local students to overseas UWC Schools and Colleges back in 1972. Then in 1992, LPCUWC was founded in Hong Kong, joining an international movement which has since grown to 18 UWC Schools and Colleges located all over the world. Our UWC education has been transforming the lives of thousands of local and overseas young people from more than 140 countries from vastly different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, many of whom have been converted to a life serving the welfare of mankind...”
