From Passion to Action: Empowering Students Through Stories of Impact

Before the winter break in December, Principal Dr. Spencer Fowler led his Experiential Learning group on an inspiring day of discovery, connecting with alumni and charity advocates.

The day began with a visit to alumnus Christopher Schrader (‘11), founder of the 24 Hour Race. Christopher shared his journey from LPCUWC student to successful young charity entrepreneur, encouraging students to reflect on how their own passions could spark meaningful initiatives.

The group then visited the Christian Action Centre for Refugees at Chungking Mansions, where they met 安德里 Jeffrey Andrews , Senior Manager at Christian Action. Jeffrey introduced the organisation’s impactful work  supporting over 13,000 asylum seekers and refugees in Hong Kong.

Students returned to campus with fresh perspectives, reflecting that the experience deepened their understanding of Hong Kong’s charitable landscape and inspired them to consider how they, too, could turn passion into positive action.
