Sunny Chau (LPCUWC Class of 2001) has launched a scholarship initiative to support Palestinian students to study at LPCUWC in the 2026–27 academic year. He recently shared this meaningful effort with the Hong Kong media.
Rooted in the belief that education can be a seed for peace, this initiative follows Sunny’s previous effort to raise scholarships for students from Afghanistan two years ago. His work reflects LPCUWC’s unwavering commitment to diversity, inclusion, and education as a pathway to peace. In the article, Sunny spoke with Abed, our current Year 1 student from Palestine, who shared how studying at LPCUWC has been a life-changing opportunity. Abed aspires to become an engineer and contribute to rebuilding his homeland—turning pain into purpose.
Watch Abed's story:
In 2025, Hong Kong is the only city in the world with five universities ranked in the global top 100. With the city’s strong education pathways and international outlook, we can help nurture talented, compassionate young global citizens who will drive positive change at home and around the world.
