UWC education has proven to be a valuable steppingstone to universities around the globe. The growing network of college graduates and former staff worldwide provides a continuing link with the UWC movement, a reinforcement of its vision of a better world and a means of continuing to translate this into action. We fostered over 100 partnerships with the world’s leading universities, with numerous exclusive scholarship programs specifically catered for UWC graduates. 

Students at LPCUWC have successfully gained admission to some of the best universities in the world, benefitting from the unique UWC educational experience and the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) Program.

 

This combination not only prepares them academically but also enhances their global perspective and critical thinking skills, making them attractive candidates for prestigious institutions. Many of these universities offer scholarships specifically for UWC graduates, recognizing the value of their education.

The Talent for Hong Kong Scholarship Initiative, also know as the 2+4+X Scholarship Initiative, provides opportunities to 15 international students to study at LPCUWC and continue their university studies in Hong Kong at reputable partner universities. This transformative program aims to enhance Hong Kong's international talent pipeline by offering an all-inclusive scholarship package. The scholarship encompasses a two-year study period at LPCUWC, followed by a four-year undergraduate program at one of the four universities, and culminates in a cooperative (co-op) opportunity with a corporate partner.

Through this collaboration, LPCUWC and its esteemed partners seek to foster an inclusive and diverse academic community, attracting and supporting exceptional students from around the world. By providing scholarships, the aim is to empower students with the necessary resources and support to enhance their educational journey and make a positive impact in their respective fields of study.

 

Tencent Foundation, a long-time partner of LPCUWC, is one of the major contributors towards the initiative. Tencent Foundation is injecting a generous pledge of HK$6.4 million to support a total of 8 international students from developing economies and humble backgrounds.

Universities Guidance Counselling  Services:

LPCUWC University Guidance Counselling Team supports each student in their individual journey towards exploring future options for future career aspirations. Below are various ways our students are supported by the UGC Team:

  • Learning Series events organized by the UWC counsellors network and Davis partnership colleges/universities

University Field Trips

LPCUWC students have the exciting opportunity to visit universities in Hong Kong to explore a range of offerings.

​

Students can pursue their tertiary studies at partner universities that provide scholarships upon the completion of the 2-Year IB Diploma.

​

Each year, both Year 1 and Year 2 students visit various Hong Kong universities, participating in informative sessions. These visits include an admissions preview, introductions to different programs, and engaging discussions with current students about their experiences.

​​

We take pride in our students for fully embracing this opportunity and look forward to their continued exploration of academic pathways!

University Workshops

The LPCUWC University Guidance Counsellors Team organizes visits from both local and international universities to our campus. These visits allow representatives to speak with students about various opportunities at their institutions.

 

Among these visiting universities are the Davis Partner institutions. The Davis UWC Scholars Program has awarded scholarships to over 12,000 scholars from 165 countries, enabling them to attend U.S. partner colleges and universities.

LPCUWC understand the importance of helping students explore potential post-graduation options to prepare for university life. The UGC team offers comprehensive support throughout the university application process, ensuring students are well-equipped for their future educational endeavours.
