Lights, Camera, Africa! ACE 2026

From vibrant pre-events to the dazzling Dinner and Show, this past week was a beautiful celebration of African culture, creativity, and community.

ACE Week 2026 brought the LPC campus to life with energy, colour, and connection. From fun games and trivia to mouthwatering African treats like Mandazi and Mabuyu, the pre-events were alive with vibrant energy.

The grand finale, African Cultural Evening Dinner and Show, held on Saturday, 31 January, was truly a special evening to remember. Cameras flashed across the dining hall as students and teachers arrived in bold, expressive outfits adorned with patterns, prints, and accessories that embodied the joy and pride of the continent.

This year’s theme,  The Premiere of an African Movie, brought red-carpet glamour and main-character energy to the stage. The show opened with the powerful rhythm of African drums and featured energetic group dances throughout, weaving together storytelling and culture to create an evening that was both entertaining and enjoyable.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs Angela Otula, student leader Megan, and every member of the ACE Committee for their incredible leadership. And, of course, to everyone who participated, performed, and celebrated with us.

Until next time, let’s keep this spirit alive. We can’t wait to welcome the Caribbean and Latin American Cultural Evening in March!
