LPC Marine Science Students Present at HKU SWIMS Ocean Stewardship Programme
Our Year 2 Marine Science students, Ella and Dinara, represented the LPC team and presented at the closing ceremony for the Exploring Marine Biodiversity: Empowering Youth Ambassadors for Ocean Stewardship programme, held at HKU’s Rayson Huang Theatre on 3 October.
Representing our school among 175 student ambassadors from 39 schools across Hong Kong, they shared their key learnings, real-world conservation initiatives, and future plans to protect our oceans.
Applying what they have learned from the programme back on campus, Ella organised a mangrove biodiversity survey at Starfish Bay, replicating the methodology learned at The Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS). As said at the ceremony, this is just the beginning of inspiring everyone around us.
Congratulations to everyone on receiving their completion certificates and taking an active lead as ocean stewards!
