LPC Students Crown 2nd at UNSDGs Debating Competition 2025-2026

Congratulations to Zunaira, Frederike, and Eva on winning second place at the UNSDGs Debating Competition 2025-2026 (International Senior Secondary)!

Co-hosted by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association and the English Department of City University of Hong Kong, the final event was held on 4 June at Singapore International School and featured three intense rounds of debate, each addressing motions inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

With their outstanding public speaking skills and sharp reasoning, the team stood out and brought home the silver medals and the trophy!

Reflecting on their victory, both Eva and Zunaira shared a valuable insight: debating is a constant learning journey. As Eva emphasised with their closing team line: “We debated, we learned, we earned.”

 Special shout-out to the teacher-in-charge, Cherry, our English teacher, for her guidance and coaching the team throughout the process.
