Sweat, blisters, stomach aches, and cramps—nothing stopped our LPCUWC teams from conquering the 24 Hour Race Hong Kong 2025! Held in the Peak on 29-30 November, with incredible grit and unity, both student teams pushed through the entire 24 hours to place an outstanding 3rd and 6th overall!
Well done to Caitlin and Marc for their leadership, and congratulations to all the runners: Caitlin, Marc, Adelaide, Andy W, Antonia, Bosco Z, Ford, George, James, Jamil, Jose, Kevin, Michelle Q, Naima, Yanny, and Xavier.
This fantastic result would not have been possible without our amazing LPC community:
A huge thank you to our staff who ran laps and cheered: Henry, Nicki, Hayley (who ran an amazing 21km!), Mark, Craig, Joyce Y, Cherry, and Spencer. A special thanks to Ruth, our College Supervisor for her late-night support with snacks!
Heartfelt gratitude to the Shoaf family for the giant pizzas and the Soo family for the lemon teas.
And a massive cheer to over 60 LPCUWC peers who swarmed the Peak at 6:15 pm to show their love and support.
Dr Wendy Liu-Hayes, teacher in charge, remarked: "As I watched them, I was genuinely proud and reminded of why I love being at LPC; their determination and unity were nothing short of inspiring."
The 24-Hour Race, the world’s largest student-led movement against human trafficking, was founded by our very own alum Christopher Schrader (Class of 2011). This year's event raised HK$751,733, with proceeds supporting the Tai Po tragedy.
Well done again to everyone for another successful race in LPC's history!
