We are thrilled to announce that two of our student teams have made it to the Top 80 of the IdeaPop Competition 2026, organised by the SEED Foundation and sponsored by Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund!
IdeaPop is a startup pitch competition open to all secondary school students in Hong Kong. This year, participants are asked to select a category from Disability Inclusion, Education, Elderly Care, or Mental Wellness and Resilience. They then identify a social challenge, define a problem statement, and propose an innovative solution.
Our students demonstrated exceptional resilience and creativity, working hard on their projects even during the winter break.
Team 1 – Project Batchbuddy
Members: Andia, Isabella, Jose, Yuxi
Social Issue: Disability Inclusion
Team 2 – Project Unipath
Members: Aury, Constance, Purity, Raina
Social Issue: Education
Both teams will be attending a kick-off event and mentorship sessions to gain valuable insights into startup development and explore the social issue of disability inclusion in Hong Kong.
We are proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how they continue to share their ideas, passion, and UWC values with the wider community!
