In Conversation with Matthew A. Schneider

On 4 November, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr Matthew A. Schneider, CEO & Founder of Building Inc., on campus for a guest speaker session. While in town for Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025, Matthew shared his journey as a Gen Z entrepreneur and sparked our students to take action, highlighting the power of personal branding, storytelling, and taking the first step on one’s entrepreneurial path.

Matthew’s resilience and authenticity resonated deeply with our students, motivating them to act on their ideas and embrace uncertainty with confidence.

The evening featured a keynote, a panel discussion moderated by our Year 2 students, Isra and Leda, and a networking session where conversations buzzed with ideas on innovation and leadership. The panel was joined by Ms Season Ho, our Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group Supervisor, who shared her own experience of taking a leap of faith from nine years in corporate life to education, encouraging students to explore purpose-driven careers.
