In September and November, LPC hosted various alumni events in both the UK and the Mainland.
Co-hosted by UWC International, UWC Atlantic, UWC Great Britain, LPC held the UWC Innovation for Impact Forum in London, uniting alumni, students, and educators to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation on 27 September. The event brought together alumni, staff, volunteers and friends to celebrate how UWC values translate into action across diverse fields.

In this event, alumni and scholars took the stage to share their ideas and experiences as well as insights in TED-style talks. Among them was Ka-Ling Wu, an alumna of LPCUWC and the co-founder and CEO of Upsolve AI—a London-based enterprise software company. Ka-Ling shared her personal journey from being a UWC scholar in Hong Kong to studying at Brown University and eventually building a career at tech giants like Palantir before founding her own company. Her talk emphasised how her UWC experience shaped her passion for innovation, problem-solving, and using technology to serve a broader social purpose. During her speech, she mentioned the value of a UWC experience, mentioning how;
“When you have lived through a UWC experience, you know in your bones nothing is impossible… Idealism and fear aren’t enemies – they’re dancing partners.”
She also highlighted how AI can be used for social good, showing how values of intercultural understanding can inform the design of future technologies.
Other than her, other UWC alumni also took the stage and offered their invaluable insights to their work, solving unique problems that the UWC experience allowed them to tackle.
Attendees also engaged in Q&A sessions that encouraged lively discussion about AI’s influence on daily life, education, and global citizenship. Networking followed, with alumni enthusiastically reconnecting and building new collaborations over coffee.
As one participant noted “When I connect with UWC people, I feel like there is a whole layer of familiarity with the other person. Even though I may not know their name or their background, they already know something about me and I know something about them. It’s an immediate bond”

Apart from the Forum, a gathering was also hosted for our dedicated UK and LPC alumni, reconnecting with familiar faces. The trip included valuable visits to the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University College London, and the London School of Economics and Political Science, where the LPC team had the opportunity to meet with the universities' representatives and connect with LPC alumni.

In November, a group of LPC alumni enjoyed a cozy gathering in Shanghai on 9 November. From the Class of 1995 to our recent graduates, the evening was filled with shared stories from their time at LPC, updates on life since graduation.

We look forward to meeting more of our global LPC alumni community in the future! Stay tuned for details about our 2026 reunion!
