LPCUWC Celebrates Academic Excellence in Class of 2025 IBDP Results



[Hong Kong, 7 July 2025] – Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) proudly announces the exceptional IBDP results of the Class of 2025. Among this year’s cohort, three students achieved an impressive score of 44 out of 45, while two scored 43, four scoring 42, five scoring 41, and eleven scoring 40. 25 students scored over 40 with 73 students earning bilingual diplomas—an accomplishment that reflects their advanced proficiency in multiple languages at a literature level.


In addition to these academic achievements, our 122 graduates have collectively received over 440 university offers from institutions around the world. including prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Cornell University, and the University of Chicago. In a diverse community of students representing over 90 nationalities, these results stand as a powerful testament to the academic excellence and cultural richness that define LPCUWC.


Our student body represents a truly global and multicultural community, with individuals from Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, and North America. Many come from regions affected by conflict or economic hardship, selected by 160 National Committees for their exceptional potential and commitment to the UWC mission. Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives enrich our learning environment and contribute to the transformative experience that defines LPCUWC.


Graduates from LPCUWC are now preparing to pursue higher education at top universities around the world, including institutions in the USA, UK, Hong Kong, Europe and Canada. Some of our international students have chosen to remain in Hong Kong, attending the University of Hong Kong, contributing to the city’s talent pool and fostering international goodwill. Through our Talent for Hong Kong Scholarship Programme, supported by local university partners including HKU, HKUST, CUHK, and PolyU, we continue to support students who are committed to contributing to the region’s development.


The Class of 2025 graduates with more than just academic credentials—they leave equipped with global competencies and a deep understanding of complex global issues such as inequality, climate change, and conflict resolution. Their resilience and compassion have shaped our campus culture and will continue to influence the world around them.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, more than half of our students have received need-based financial support. These scholarships, generously funded by our donors, enable LPCUWC to maintain its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational equity.


As we celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025, we reaffirm our dedication to nurturing a globally-minded, socially responsible community. Over the past 33 years, LPCUWC has educated more than 3,900 students from 150 nationalities, many of whom now serve in leadership roles around the world.
