Organised by the Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council (DSSSC), our Principal, Dr Spencer Fowler, joined officials from the Education Bureau (EDB) and fellow secondary school principals on a productive delegation visit across Southeast Asia on 27-30 March. Hosting sessions for prospective parents and meeting with education officials in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, the mission served as a vital platform to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a premier international education hub.
In conjunction with the official delegation, Spencer utilised the period to further deepen ties within the UWC movement. This allowed for heartening engagements with the UWC National Committees (NC) of Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar. Across the region, Spencer and Michael, our Advancement Director, were warmly received by NC representatives and members of our alumni family, including a particularly meaningful gathering with parents of our LPC alumni in Myanmar.
This sense of community was further felt during a special presentation at Myanmar King’s International School. Prospective students heard directly from our current Myanmar scholars, who joined the session virtually from our LPC campus to share firsthand how they learn, grow, and thrive within our diverse, global community.
As we continue to champion the "Study in Hong Kong" initiative, we remain committed to fostering the international understanding and lifelong bonds that define the UWC movement across Southeast Asia.
