What a NICE start to the 2026–27 Academic Year
Happy first day of classes! We are thrilled to see our students back in classrooms, laboratories, and different learning spaces as they begin another exciting learning journey.
Orientation Week 2026 wrapped up on a high note over the weekend. On Friday, our Year 1s engaged in meaningful discussions on living out the UWC mission in today’s world, concluding with an interactive Playback Theatre performance. Stay tuned for upcoming student interviews on how our community is connecting these ideas to this year’s UWC Day theme of Action for Peace, Planet, People.
On Saturday, 29 August, all students came together dressed in traditional costumes representing their countries for the Special Dinner and the Night of International Cultural Evening (NICE). It was a wonderful celebration of diversity, culture, and the lifelong friendships already blossoming across campus.
As classes begin, Principal, Dr Spencer Fowler, reminded students that learning at LPC is never a passive experience. LPCers are empowered to challenge and to inspire one another, to go beyond the IBDP curriculum, to make real-world connections, and to be the catalyst for a more peaceful and sustainable world.
We can’t wait to see the exceptional things the LPCUWC community is going to achieve this year!
