Our Year 1 Theatre students took to the stage on 17 November, for their first public performances at the assembly hall.

The performances were conducted in two sessions. In the first act, '2+2=5', devised by Layla, Patrícia, and Lily, the audience was presented with an exploration of how lies are spread to preserve power and manipulate the masses.

This was followed by 'The Paradox of Choice' (devised by Joanna, Joey, and Sarah), a piece that examined the modern dilemma of choice and how it can lead us to feel trapped, prioritising the wrong things.

From scriptwriting and movement to design, every element was crafted by the students themselves. Both performances used  dialogue, monologue, and physicality to stimulate discussion, culminating in interactive Q&A sessions where actors and audience members shared feedback and reflections.
